MORE goes to town for Shelby Showcase

MORE makes a good showing for farmland preservation at its booth at the Preservation and Restoration Showcase put on by the Shelby Development Foundation.

Charts, graphs, a PowerPoint presentation, some more charts and graphs, and still more charts and graphs – these were just a few of the vehicles MORE deployed at its booth during the Shelby Restoration and Preservation Showcase on April 8. The mission: to continue raising awareness about the preserving our irreplaceable Shelby farmland and quality of lifeMORE Booth. Directors Jim Ellis, Alex Draeger, Vivian Hayes, and Cathy Wilde took turns "manning" the booth, handing out literature, refilling the candy dish (thanks, Mrs. E!), and talking with passersby. All in all, there was significant interest and it was a Saturday well-spent – even if the weather did improve so much in the afternoon it was a shame we weren't home working outside! :-) Many thanks to the Shelby Development Foundation for the invitation.
