Maintain Our Rural Environment submitted requests to the Planning Commission that the new planner be employed to help produce a comprehensive inventory of agriculture in Shelby County; that the Plan address the issue of residential sprawl and it impacts on agriculture, cost of development, and detrimental changes in the quality of life; that consideration of Cluster Development be deleted from the Plan; and that the residential designations shown along the Bypass from the railroad to the area north of the schools be removed. Perspectives on Land Use Issues in Shelby County, a survey of farmers and farm owners, is included!
